# Conclusion

This whitepaper provided an overview of the current problems faced by the energy industry and how far it is from playing its role to decarbonize the planet. The solution set forth will enable and incentivize the consumers to set up their energy trading business and become prosumers.

To provide this feasibility, Dione is developing an EVM-compatible L1 blockchain that would help us to further reduce the carbon footprint and enable other dApps to be created on top of our blockchain with a higher degree of decentralization, scalability, resilience, and speed.
